Nkwain Kennedy, an amateur basketball player from Cameroon, received a box of goodies from the former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom. Odom, sharing the news on social media, said that he was inspired by the way Kennedy was training with torn basketball gear.
In a photo of the goodies shared by the former NBA star, it can be seen that he gave Kennedy a pair of training shoes, two basketballs, and other essential training gear.

Who is Nkwain Kennedy?
Nkwain Kennedy is an amateur basketball player from Bamenda, Cameroon. He rose to prominence through reel videos on Instagram where he is often seen training in worn-out gear at his village. At present, he has over 500,000 followers on Instagram.
A representative of Odom told TMZ that the former Los Angeles Lakers star saw one of Kennedy’s videos while scrolling through Instagram, and he was so moved by it that he wanted to gift him training gear.
He got in touch with Kennedy through social media, found out his shoe size as well as his Cameroon address, and sent him the gear. TMZ reports that among the gifts were Reebok Allen Iverson shoes, two Wilson basketballs, Nike Giannis Antetokounmpo kicks and some Nike socks.
There was also a note that said: “To Nkwain, Love the hustle. God bless.”
The report says that the gift is currently en route to Kennedy.
