Who is Odean Smith?

Odean Fabian Smith is a Jamaican cricketer. In April 2018, he made his West Indies cricket team debut. Smith made his List A debut in the 2014–15 Regional Super50 event. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2017 Caribbean Premier League and in 2017, he made his first-class debut for Jamaica in the 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition.

Smith was picked in the Professional Cricket League drafts in May 2018 to play for the Trinidad and Tobago national cricket team for the season. In November 2019, he was nominated to Trinidad & Tobago’s roster for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 event.

Smith was chosen by Jamaica in the players’ draft organised by Cricket West Indies ahead of the 2020–21 domestic season in June 2020. He was picked to the Guyana Amazon Warriors roster for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League in July 2020.

Smith was chosen in the players’ draft for the 2021 Lanka Premier League to play for the Dambulla Giants.

Smith was picked to the West Indies team for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2015.

Smith made his way in the West Indies team for their Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan in March 2018. On April 2, 2018, he made his West Indies T20I debut against Pakistan.

Smith was chosen for the West Indies One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) teams for their series against Pakistan in November 2021. He was picked to the West Indies ODI team for their series against Ireland in December 2021. On January 8, 2022, he made his ODI debut for the West Indies against Ireland.
