The 2023 Spanish Supercup Final between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be officiated by referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, who has been chosen by the Spanish Football Federation.

After the notorious 2017 Spanish Supercup, where he sent Cristiano Ronaldo off for diving inside Barcelona’s box, this will be De Burgos Bengoetxea’s second El Clasico as the referee.

The second encounter between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the ongoing 2022–2023 will take place in the Spanish Supercup Final. The two clubs are vying for the La Liga championship, therefore the winner of this final may feel more confident going forward.
