A Georgia amateur golfer experienced a weekend hacker’s dream when he received an invitation to the Masters in the mail.
The invitation was actually intended for PGA Tour player Scott Stallings, who qualified for the Tour Championship at the end of the season in 2022 and so made the Masters field.
The genuine Scott Stallings claimed in a tweet on Tuesday that he had been checking his inbox five times every day for the invitation, but it had never come.
Who is Scott Stallings?
Scott Stallings was born on March 25, 1985, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He is a Christian.
Stalling has a wife, Jennifer White, along with two children– Finn and Millie.

Stallings was an all-state golfer and a four-year Dean’s List student at Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He attended Tennessee Tech, where he won seven tournaments, was named an All-American in 2006, and was a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year.
Stallings participated in the NGA Hooters Tour and the Tarheel Tour in 2008 and 2009, respectively. He attended the PGA Tour’s Qualifying School for the first time in 2009, almost missing out on a spot on the tour by one stroke. His performance earned him a spot on the Nationwide Tour. He competed in 28 events, made 19 cuts, and placed 53rd on the Nationwide Tour.

Stallings’ first PGA Tour triumph came in July 2011 when he won the Greenbrier Classic. Stallings was able to get entry into a three-way playoff despite occasionally having difficulty in the last round. With the victory, Stallings rose from 88th to 26th in the FedEx Cup standings. After beginning the year in 562nd place, his OWGR ranking rose from 224th to 119th.

Stallings defeated five other players to win the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2014 by a single stroke. The next year, Stallings lost in a four-man sudden-death playoff in defence of his title.
