Edward Ellsworth Annis, commonly known by his ring name Teddy Hart, has been under subsequent trouble for years with multiple arrests and incidents. Hart was set up for USA Pro Wrestling’s 30th Anniversary Show, scheduled in Orlando, Florida next month. 

But, citing various allegations against the veteran wrestler, USA Pro Wrestling announced the termination of working plans with him. The recent controversy is the disappearance of ex-girlfriend Samantha Fiddler since 2016, though his association with the case is not yet confirmed.

Who is Teddy Hart?

Born on February 02, 1980, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to father BJ Annis and mother Georgia Hart, Teddy was named Edward Ellsworth Annis by his parents. 

Teddy’s both parents belong to families with a significant history in professional wrestling. Father Bradley Joseph Annis is a retired bodybuilder, powerlifter, wrestler, gym owner and firefighter. His mother Georgia Hart is a daughter of the eminent Hart wrestling family, Stu Hart and Helen Hart.

Annis grew up playing with his three siblings, including two sisters, Annie and Angela and a younger brother, Matthew. 

The third-generation wrestler was married to Fay Annis, also a wrestler in 2012. The couple later divorced in 2016.

The wrestler debuted at a young age in 1995 in a Calgary-based Stampede Wrestling Promotion. He was the youngest one to sign a World Wrestling Federation developmental contract in 1998. In 2003, he defeated TJ Wilson for Ring of Honor in Philadelphia. He appeared several times in WWE, wrestling in dark matches in 2005.

Having long wrestling career milestones, he contested in the AAA Canada: Next Generation Wrestling event in 2003, but lost the tournament. Hart announced his debut for NOVA Pro Wrestling in 2015. Later in 2016, he debuted for Canadian Wrestling’s Elite and Lucha Libre Elite where he was defeated by Diamante Azul.

In April 2018, Teddy Hart made his return to the company after 5 years away from the AAA, attacking Joe Lider and Pagano.

The 42-year-old wrestler was the subject of documentaries- A Hart Still Pounding (2009) and Hart of Darkness. He also appeared in Hart Still Beating (2016), a documentary subjected on his uncle Smith Hart and Matt Hart.
