The responding officers were informed that there was a disagreement among coaching staff and the officiating crew.

The opposing coaching staff got involved in a physical altercation during which one of them discharged the firearm, striking the other. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Lancaster Police Department issued a press release on Sunday saying that the suspect has been identified as Yaqub Salik Talib and there’s an active warrant for his arrest.

Search was underway for the suspect as of Sunday and anyone with any information was requested to contact the police.

Yaqub Salik Talib is the brother of former Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib, who was also present at the scene when the incident took place.

“Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident occurred and is very distraught and devastated over this terrible loss of life. He would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy,” Aqib’s attorney told TMZ.

In 2014, Yaqub Talib was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication at a downtown club.

The nightclub was hosting an “Official NFL Camp After Party” when off-duty officers working outside the club were alerted to a “disturbance” inside. Yaqub was “the primary instigator, throwing bottles and becoming very physical with the people around him. That’s the reason he was arrested,” police said in a statement at the time.
