Adele Milloz was a French Ski mountaineer. She passed away on Friday after falling from the Mont Blanc massif in the Alps, where she was training to be a mountain guide.

Milloz was 26 years old. According to a report by The Times, the Ski mountaineer along with a 30-year-old unnamed female friend of hers were attempting to climb the Aiguille summit located in the Mont Blanc range of the French Alps. The report continued to tell that the pair lost their footing and fell to their death.

Adele Milloz was born in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, which is a small commune near the Alps mountains. She represented France at the 2017 Sochi Winter Military World Games, where she won gold medals in both the individual and relay events. Milloz won the sprint gold medal at the 2018 Nicolosi Europeans. Also in 2018, she finished fifth at the Pierra Menta, an annual ski mountaineering competition in the Beaufort region of the Alps.

In 2019, she retired from competitive competitions and began to train for a career as a mountain guide.

The sport of Ski mountaineering or skimo will be included in the 2026 Winter Olympics in the city of Milan, Italy. This sport entails climbing a mountain and then skiing down it.

According to Skitrab.com, her passions included traveling in fresh air Mountain sports such as alpinism, climbing, cycling, and running. Milloz had won junior championships and joined the French team when she was 15 years old. 

The French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing confirmed Milloz’s death on Saturday, that they “will always miss her smile.”
