Thousands of Kansas City fans flocked to the Allegiant Stadium. Several social media users and journalists tweeted pictures of supporters wearing red at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was greeted with MVP chants in the stadium. He is having one of the best seasons as a professional and has already crossed 5,000 yards, so without a doubt, he could win the MVP of the season which is much trouble for what he has done in these 17 games.
The Chiefs have had a great closing of the year and after securing the AFC West division title, they will be aiming for first place in the Conference to be able to rest the first week and play all the Playoffs at home. Andy Reid will not use substitutes and will begin with the best he has to finish once again the divisional games of this campaign undefeated.
The Vegas Raiders were expecting a better season, but they lost matches they had almost in the bag and the defense several times could not be as effective, so with a 6-10 record they will look to say goodbye with a victory in front of their fans, in a low season where there were several expectations in terms of offensive and defensive movements.
According to ticket marketplace Vivid Seats, a ticket to the game was the hottest one in the NFL this weekend. Tickets were selling for an average price of $373, which is $160 more than the average ticket to the New York Jets-Miami Dolphins game this weekend.
The only ticket to sell at a higher price was when the Chief played against Vegas on November 14, 2021, to play the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. Tickets for that game sold for an average of $590 each, said Vivid Seats. The Chiefs won that game 41-14.
