Christophe Galtier is facing sacking calls. The PSG manager might be fired after the team finishes the Ligue 1 season on Saturday.

PSG face Clermont Foot at the Parc des Princes. The game marks the end of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos’ stints at France. Galtier has been criticized for the team’s failure in the Champions League.

However, advisor Luis Campos on rumors of Galtier set to be fired, as per Canal Plus, said: “We haven’t made a decision, neither on the coach nor on the players.”

PSG announced Messi’s exit on Saturday. The team thanked the Argentine for his two years at the club.

However, fans are not impressed with Galtier, who logged his 50th game for PSG on Saturday.

“No matter what happens in today’s match. With the league title already secured, PSG are expected to fire Christophe Galtier by the end of the day,” a Twitter user said.

“They will be foolish to sack their manager for a loser who burns down every building he goes into and is not even winning, nowadays. The best he’ll achieve is what Christophe Galtier has done,” a second one added.

Galtier, who led Lille from 2021 to 2022, signed a two-year deal with Paris Saint Germain in July. However, French publication L’Equipe reported that he will be sacked. The 56-year-old succeeded Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino has now joined the Premier League club, Chelsea.

L’Equipe reported that firing Galtier has been finalized by PSG owner Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. The club failed to go beyond the last 16 stage at the Champions League. The manager enjoyed a bright start in Paris.

The French giants have already clinched the Ligue 1 title.
