Belair was born on April 9, 1989, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a track and field athlete in college, where she competed in the NCAA Division I as a heptathlete and sprinter.
Belair began her professional wrestling career in 2016 when she signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental brand NXT. She made her in-ring debut in June of that year and quickly became known for her impressive strength and athleticism. Belair remained a prominent figure in NXT for several years, winning the NXT Women’s Championship in February 2020.
