Zach Wilson, quarterback for the New York Jets, was booed at the MetLife Stadium and trolled on social media after his incomplete pass in the first quarter vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday.
Going 3rd and 12, Wilson connected with wide receiver Garrett Wilson with a leading pass that could have been easily picked by the Jags. However, the New York quarterback threw the ball away after getting some pressure and the team was forced to punt.

While the 23-year-old quarterback has been seen as a potential talent, he has failed to find his form. Wilson’s failed theatrics certainly hurt the home side’s prospects, as they were left trailing 3-10 with five minutes remaining in the second quarter.

After 3-3 in the first quarter, Jaguars’ star of the season, Trevor Lawrence came up with a crucial touchdown to take the visitors to an early lead. Later in the same quarter, Riley Patterson’s field goal gave the Jaguars three more points and extended their lead to 10 points at the end of the second quarter.
A loss at home in the Week 16 encounter means that the Jets will bid adieu to their playoff prospects while the Jaguars will find the victory highly beneficial as it propels them to the top spot in AFC South ahead of Tennessee Titans, thanks to a favourable head-to-head result.
