Apple has launched its latest installation in the Apple Watch series. The Apple Watch Series 8, revealed at the Far-Out 2022 event, will see a new variant, the Apple Watch Ultra which will join the lineup alongside the basic Apple Watch and the Apple Watch SE.

Apple Watch 8

The base variant of the Apple Watch will have a host of new features.  It includes temperature sensors, cycle tracking, and dustproof and swim-proof features, among other upgrades. Apple has included a new feature where women can track ovulation in the Apple Watch Series 8.

Among the features that will debut in the Apple Watch Series 8 is a crash detection feature that will send an SOS call when it detects a crash.

The Series 8 Apple Watch will be available for purchase from September 16, 2022.

Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE will have similar upgraded features as the base variant of the Apple Watch 8. The only addition in this model is the cellular function which doesn’t come in the base model.

Apple Watch Ultra

The Apple Watch Ultra is a durable watch that is made for explorers who needs tech that can endure extreme weather conditions. The Apple Watch Ultra has 2000 nits of brightness and the buttons and the crown work effortlessly with gloves. It also has a low-power GPS mode included in it. 

The new Apple Watch ultra boasts 36 hours of battery life on a single charge. The battery can also be extended up to 60 hours.

The Ultra variant of the Apple Watch has features like WR 100 water resistance and it is certified to EN 13319 making it perfect for scuba drivers. The ultra-durable watch can show time, temperature and depth when underwater.
