Blizzard’s Battle.net service has become the victim of another DDoS attack (distributed denial of service) yet again and this time, its affected games such as World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and more.
Players who are trying to log into their favorite games faced issues and took to social media to complain about the same. The attack that began last night is yet to be resolved. 10 hours ago, Blizzard wrote on their company’s official Twitter account that they were aware of the issue and were looking into it.
“We are investigating the login issues affecting Diablo IV and working to resolve these as soon as possible. Players may experience queues while we work on the issue,” they wrote.
A couple of follow-up updates from the company even an hour back confirmed that they have been yet unable to solve the attack. “We’re currently investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers, which may result in failed or slow login attempts,” they wrote two hours back and an hour back they tweeted, “We continue to actively monitor an ongoing DDOS attack which is affecting latency/connections to our games.”
No ETA has been provided regarding the error being resolved. It is also not clear if gamers will be able to get an hourly update on the ongoing issue.
As of now, players may continue to face difficulties accessing games on Battle.net, including Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone 2. While waiting for the situation to be resolved, gamers seeking alternative experiences can explore the best RPG and FPS games.
Affected players have expressed their disappointment, particularly those encountering error messages like “unable to find a valid license” in Diablo IV or experiencing difficulty accessing the Overwatch 2 shop. The authentication servers for these games, as well as other multiplayer titles on Battle.net, have been affected by the ongoing DDoS attack.

Blizzard’s ongoing battle against DDoS attacks serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by online gaming platforms and the importance of robust security measures to safeguard player experiences.
