Krafton, on May 14, announced the pre-registration date for Battlegrounds Mobile India, a PUBG-like India-specific game. The pre-registrations for the game will begin on May 18 on the Google Play Store. While the pre-registration date for the game has been announced, there is no official date as to when the game will release. But according to media reports, the game could be released after the pre-registration link is live.

The pre-registration date for the game was announced in a video that was released on the game’s official YouTube channel. The video received more than 5 million views in less than 24 hours.

The company, in a statement, said, Indian players, who will register for the game, will be able to claim rewards upon the game’s release. “To pre-register for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA, please visit the Google Play Store and click on the “Pre-Register” button, and your rewards will automatically be available to claim on game launch,” the company said in its website.

Krafton, the South Korean video game developed, in its privacy policy, updated their policy concerning underage users:

“When you play our game we do not knowingly collect, use or share any personal information for those who are under 18 years of age without verifiable parental consent or as permitted by law. If you are under 18 years of age, you will be asked to provide the mobile phone number of your parent or guardian to confirm that you are legally eligible to play the game,” the company said.

“If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child with under 18 years of age has provided us with personal information without your consent, you can contact us and request your child%u2019s information to be deleted from our system,” it added.

It also mentioned: “If you are under 18 years of age, you will only be able to play the game maximum of 3 hours a day.”

“If you are under 18 years of age, the maximum daily amount of using our paid service will be Rs. 7,000 INR.”

The company said that all personal information of the players will be stored, processed on servers in India and Singapore.

Krafton also unveiled the Ban Tai map location from Sanhok, which is one of the maps available in the game.

The ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ will release with “exclusive in-game events like outfits and features and will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues,” Krafton said in a statement.
