BMW on Wednesday launched its all new BMW M340i variant in India. The luxury sedan is priced at 

at Rs 62.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in limited units in the country. With the announcement, BMW’s M340i becomes the first M performance car to be assembled locally. Online bookings for the model began on March 5 and one has to pay a booking amount of one lakh.

 BMW M340i, the quickest car to be made in India as per the company, is powered by a twin-turbo, 2889 cubic centimetres inline 6-cylinder petrol engine which provides up to 387 hp (285 kW) of power. The engine is complements the 8-speed automatic transmission. According to BMW, the car can go from 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds.

The M340i sedan comes in three colours– Tanzanite Blue, Sunset Orange and Dravit Grey and the comapny is also offering the model in personlised packages like Enthusiast Pack, Rcaer’s pack and Motorsport Pack. Besides this, the sedan has 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity modes coupled with 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

BMW M340i sedan has four driving modes — Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.
