The much-awaited new iPhone 14 was launched at the Apple Far Out event at Apple’s Cupertino campus on Thursday, September 7, 2022. As expected, the Apple iPhone 14 series will come in four variants – the base model, iPhone 14 plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. 

The lovers of Apple’s flagship mobile devices have always been head-over-heels over the iPhone camera. The latest edition of the iPhone also did not disappoint them.

iPhone 14 and iPhone Plus Camera Features

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature an ultrawide 12-megapixel main camera sensor that comes with f/1.5 aperture with image stabilization built-in within the sensor. The front camera is also 12-megapixel and features Apple’s flagship TrueDepth technology. 

Apple claimed during the launch event that the camera of the iPhone 14 and the Plus variant will have a 49 percent improvement when it comes to low-light performance. The night mode is also twice as fast as the iPhone 13.  The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will have the “Photogenic Engine” technology along with Deep Fusion image processing.

Video recording will include the Action Mode feature which uses the whole sensor for improved steadiness.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max Camera Features

The iPhone 14 Pro boasts a massive 48-megapixel main camera. It uses a quad-pixel sensor with an f/1.78 aperture and comes with a 24mm focal length. These upgrades will give the new iPhone 14 Pro camera a better low-light performance. 

However, the new Apple iPhone 14 Pro will take 12-megapixel photos under normal conditions in order to maximize light capture. The crop feature will also enable true 2x zoom at a 48-megapixel focal length, which is quite impressive. The Apple ProRAW format will also see an improvement with better-optimized details.
