An official teaser of the upcoming Jeep Compass-based seven-seater SUV in the Brazillian market suggests that the vehicle could be named ‘The Jeep Commander’.

Rumors earlier had indicated that the SUV could go by the name The Patriot. But these recent images have indicated that they would stick with The Commander as the name. The new SUV is codenamed H6 and will be the third of the four models that Jeep has planned for the market in India. The other two are Jeep Compass and Jeep Wrangler.

The teasers also show the new look to the grille, which has slimmer slats like in the new Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer, and a renovated bunch of LED headlamps.

An earlier set of images showed to have a significant change to the new SUV, from the rear doors to accommodate the third row of seats, as reported by Firstpost.

These images include bulging haunches over rear wheels and a different D-pillar section. The window line continues in an arc over the rear windscreen. The taillamps also look to be slightly renovated to accommodate the overall changes made to the SUV.
