Messaging platform Discord is about to give its users a gift
they have been wanting for quite a bit of time and it may, the ability to have threaded conversations. The feature will officially be online on Wednesday.

The company made the announcement through its official Twitter
account on Tuesday. The feature is expected to hit the PC version of the
platform first and will subsequently be added to the mobile version.

The company has been testing the threading feature on a
small group of servers over the past month. According to the FAQ page, the general
users may expect features including how to start and participate in privileged thread settings and moderation. They can be archived after a
specified amount of time or deleted entirely.

Right now, users are only able to reply to messages one by
one. The users wanting to track the conversation have to go through the tiring process
of clicking on each previous message excerpted above. That certainly is not the
greatest user experience for those who want to sort out context through a
shared line of thought and for a server administrator who has to create new
rooms every time something of that nature comes up. For users, this new feature
brings Discord at par with the rival Slack.
