Tony
Blevins
, a senior executive at Apple, will be leaving the company after a TikTok
video emerged
of him saying that he fondles ‘big-breasted women’ for a living,
Bloomberg reported. Blevins is Apple’s vice president of procurement and is
involved in deals with suppliers and partners. The controversial video was
published on September 5.

In the
video, Blevins is approached by Daniel Mac a social media content creator. Mac
was interviewing people who owned expensive cars as part of a series. Mac saw Blevins
drive a Mercedes-Benz SLR Mc Laren, an out-of-production sports car. The social
media content creator goes up to the Apple executive and asks what he does for
a living.

“I have
rich cars, play golf and fondle big-breasted women, but I take weekends and
major holidays off,” Bevins is seen saying. He also touted that he has “hell of
a plan”.

After the
video surfaced, an internal investigation team of Apple probed the matter and
he was removed from command. Blevins later told Bloomberg: “I would like to
take this opportunity to sincerely apologise to anyone who was offended by my
mistaken attempt at humour.” Blevins has worked with Apple for 22 years.

An Apple
spokesperson announced Saturday that Tony Blevins was leaving the company.
Blevins, until recently, was one of only 30 people to report directly to Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook or Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jeff
Williams.

For most of
his career, Blevins has reported to Williams except for a short phase when he
reported to Sabih Khan, senior vice president of operations, the Bloomberg
report said.

The TikTok
video, which according to Blevins was taken on August 18, was shot at a car
show at Pebble Beach. His remarks in the 25-second clip are a reference to the
1981 film Arthur
, where the protagonist Arthur Bach describes his profession
as: “I race cars, play tennis and fondle women, but I have weekends off and I
am my own boss.”
