Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter is final. The soon-to-be owner of Twitter walked into the social media platform’s main offices carrying a sink in his hands. The deal is set to be finalised on October 28.
In typical Musk fashion, the billionaire filmed his entry, posting it on Twitter with the caption, “Let that sink in.” He followed up with another Tweet which read, “Meeting a lot of cool people at Twitter today!”

While another cheered on the tech billionaire, with a meme and the words, “LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!!”

Even basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal weighed in, replying to Musk’s story saying, “Excited to see what you accomplish here.”
Another Twitter user didn’t take too kindly to Musk’s ‘sink’ gag, wrting, “The “sink” stunt is the product of a self-centered rich boy thinking he came up with something witty with only yes men around him who laugh too loud and tell him he’s brilliant.

Later in the day, Musk released a statement on Twitter clarifying his reasons for buying the social media platform. He wrote that his acquisition of the company was motivated by his belief that the platform is “important to the future of civilisation. You can read his full statement
