Coronavirus induced lockdown had been tough on people. But what has turned out to be an instant hit in the midst of pandemic is the video of a vending machine that dispenses Pani Puri. The video which has gone viral is receiving rave comments from netizens.

The innovation was the brainchild of man from Banaskantha, Gujarath. It apparently took him 6 months to design the machine.

All one has to do is select the preferred flavour, insert notes through one end and you would be served with a delicious plate of golgappa.

The vending machine is a huge sigh of relief for street food lovers, as it had answered their concerns about a post-COVID-19 world. There had been several apprehensions about Indian street food, like pani puris and chaats which is often made by the vendors with bare hands, deemed unhygienic, especially after the coronavirus outbreak.

Some twitter handles had called it the happiest news of 2020. While some users even had advised him to seek funding and start a pani puri chain.

“Would have laughed at something like this a year ago. Not so much now. Changing perspectives with the changing times,” read another comment.

Among the many people who made this video viral was Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Assam Police, Hardi Singh who shared the video on twitter with the caption “Now this is real Indian ingenuity!”
