Due to an operational issue, SpaceX’s Starship, the most potent rocket ever constructed, was left stranded on its launch pad in South Texas on Monday morning, postponing the vehicle’s historic first launch attempt.
A pressurization issue, according to the SpaceX feed, forced the cancellation of the launch.
Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, said on Twitter shortly before the launch that a “pressurant valve appears to be frozen,” thereby ruling out any launch on Monday.

The Starship spacecraft was anticipated to be launched off its ground pad, which is located inside SpaceX facilities on the coast of South Texas, and soar out over the Gulf of Mexico thanks to the powerful Super Heavy rocket booster, which houses 33 engines.
Once the fuel has been recycled, the following launch attempt won’t happen for at least 48 hours.
All times in this post are in UTC and were updated live throughout the launch attempt.
In February, the 33 Raptor engines on the booster were successfully test fired, however the Super Heavy booster was tethered down the entire time. Starship may only be launched in its whole after receiving approval from the Federal Aviation Administration on Friday.
Today, the rocket is frequently used to deliver and retrieve cargo and passengers to and from the International Space Station.

The Space Launch System (SLS), which was successfully launched for the first time in November, is the Mars heavy rocket that NASA is also developing. By November 2024, the space agency hopes to launch astronauts into lunar orbit.
Starship will be reusable and more potent than SLS. The objective of SpaceX is to launch a starship into orbit, refuel it with another starship, and then send it on to other planets.

Musk had requested that everyone keep their expectations in check prior to the launch being postponed. On its first launch, a rocket frequently encounters some sort of failure.
It might not launch because it is the first launch of a very intricate, enormous rocket. We’re going to exercise extreme caution, and if we spot anything that worries us, we’ll delay the launch,” he had said at a Twitter Spaces event.
To see the event, thousands of people gathered along the Gulf of Mexico’s coast.
