IShowSpeed’s Twitch channel has made a surprising return after more than a year of being banned.
The ban, which took place in December 2021, was a result of his involvement in an Adin Ross e-dating livestream, where he made suggestive comments towards another content creator.
Before his meteoric rise on YouTube, IShowSpeed was a popular Twitch streamer. However, his popularity took a hit when he appeared on Adin Ross’s stream and engaged in inappropriate conversation with TikTok personality Ashaley “Ash Kash.” During the live broadcast, he posed a hypothetical scenario about being the last two people on Earth and suggested a sexual encounter with Ash Kash.

The comments took a turn for the worse when he stated, “Who’s going to stop me? If we’re the last two people on Earth, who’s going to stop me?” Adin Ross intervened, urging IShowSpeed to calm down.
The repercussions of this behavior were swift and severe. Twitch banned IShowSpeed indefinitely on December 15, 2021, citing “s*xual coercion or intimidation” as the reason. They deemed the suspension “indefinite,” with access to their services contingent on a successful appeal.
Despite the ban on Twitch, IShowSpeed’s presence on other platforms remained strong. He quickly gained immense popularity on YouTube, amassing over 10 million subscribers on his primary channel. His immense online success led to his invitation to a Premier League match in the United Kingdom, where he met Sky Sports news reporter Geoff Shreeves. However, Sky Sports disassociated itself from IShowSpeed after some of his past controversial and misogynistic videos resurfaced.
In response to these controversies, IShowSpeed issued a statement, acknowledging his mistake and emphasizing that he was only 16 years old when he made those comments. He expressed remorse and recognized his responsibility to set a positive example for his followers.
While IShowSpeed faced suspensions on both Twitch and YouTube for various reasons, his resilience and the support of his fanbase have allowed him to maintain a significant online presence. He has openly apologized for his actions, pledging to learn and grow from his mistakes.
