The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of US$ 15,000 to anyone providing information about those responsible for the abduction and murder of Indian national Pareshkumar Patel. 

Patel was abducted from Raceway Gas Station he operated in Chesterfield, Virginia on September 16, 2012.  He was found dead four day later with gunshots on his body at the Ancarrow Boat Landing in the City of Richmond, Virginia.

According to the FBI, Patel was abducted from the gas station at 6 am on September 16. As soon as Patel arrived at the station, two persons shoved him into a van and sped off, as reported by a witness to the Chesterfield County Police Department.

The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Richmond’s Central Virginia Violent Crimes Task Force, as part of a cold case initiative to assist the City of Richmond Police Department with unsolved homicide investigations.
