Several QAnon followers have claimed that the mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado on Monday was a “false flag” event and was ” staged by actors”.

Ten people, including a police officer, were killed on Monday when a man opened fire inside a supermarket in  Boulder, the latest of several high-profile mass shootings in the state in recent years.

A shirtless man with blood running down his leg was handcuffed and escorted out of the store.

Followers of QAnon took to messaging platform Telegram on Monday evening to declare that the mass shooting and the media reports about it were faked, Newsweek reported.

“No question Boulder, Co incident today was a false flag. The only question is by which side?,” one Telegram user said according to Newsweek.

“Nobody died. I was there for an actual shooting. This was 100% fake fake,” Another user claimed.

Such theories have always go around the internet often following the mass shootings, with the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012 a high-profile example of such claims.
