Actor Armie Hammer and entrepreneur Elizabeth Chambers Hammer have decided to part ways after ten years of matrimony. The announcement of the split was made via a joint statement the couple posted on their respective Instagram accounts.

The couple posted “Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents. It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage, As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority.”

The couple further added while the news of their split would lead to contemplation in the public domain; decency, and empathy while addressing the issue must be adhered to due to the interest of their children.

The couple, who married in 2010, had recently celebrated a decade of connubial life.

Elizabeth had recently posted “TEN years married, twelve together, thirteen years as best friends. Happy Anniversary, my love. I’m beyond grateful for you, this decade, our family and the dreamiest Friday night anniversary sunset. And thank you to Hopsey’s friend, 6-year-old, Sophie who was at the beach and captured this moment” on the eve of their marriage.

The couple had quarantined themselves in the Cayman Island amid the pandemic, however, Hammer recently returned to the States after spending time together with his family.

The couple had also celebrated Father’s Day in June when Elizabeth post:

“Happy Father’s Day to the master bedtime singer, omelette maker, steak griller, “water pusher,” snorkel instructor, story teller and so much more. Our babies couldn’t ask for a more adventurous and entertaining dad and we’re lucky that you’re ours. We love you.”

While Armie is known for his roles in Call Me By Your Name and The Social Network; Elizabeth is a journalist and an entrepreneur.
