The weather condition in the US are ideal for trick-or-treating this year. High winds, rain showers, and a very unique type of full moon will add an extra spookiness to the Halloween, reported CNN.

According to reports, the full moon isn’t just any full moon, but a blue one, as it is second one this month. Blue moons only occurs every two to three years, which is where the phrase “once in a blue moon” comes from.

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, occurrence of full moon on Halloween happens about every 19 years, which means the next full moon to take place on Halloween will not occur until 2039.

Though everybody is not trick-or-treating this Halloween due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is discouraging door-to-door activities, costume masks and Halloween parties because of the coronavirus.

The Centres for Disease Control (CDC) has come out with guidelines to participate in the fun Halloween activities while ensuring protection against the virus.

“Celebrating virtually or with members of your own household poses low risk for spread. In-person gatherings pose varying levels of risk. Event organisers and attendees should consider the risk of virus spread based on event size and use of mitigation strategies, as outlined in the Considerations for Events and Gatherings” , CDC said on its website.
