  •  The Kumbh Mela has been drawing more than 100,000 persons daily ever since it was officially opened on April 1

  • CBSE exams for class 10th have been cancelled amid rising COVID-19 cases in India
  • The exams were going to start in May this year until June but have been cancelled
  • There were rising concerns related to offline exams amid which the Ministry of Education declared to cancel the exams and postpone class 12th exams

  • Minister of School Education of Maharashtra, Varsha Gaikwad, tweeted on April 12, 2021, that the board exams for class 10th and the 12th students will be postponed until further notice
  •  This decision had been taken because of the sudden rise in the COVID-19 cases
  • Government of Maharashtra have announced night curfews from Monday to Friday from 8 pm and a complete lockdown from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am to control the spread of COVID-19
