Kevin Durant scored
a squad-high of 31 points as Brooklyn Nets defeated Miami Heat with a score of
128-124 on Saturday, AFP reported.

The Nets succeeded in
the offense, but struggled at the other end of the court, as Brooklyn has now
allowed 396 points in their last three games, including a back-to-back loss to
the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kyrie Irving scored
28 points in the match, while James Harden scored 12 but gave out 11 assists.

Bam Adebayo, for the
Heat, scored the most with 41 points and nine assists.

The Miami Heat,
significantly, played quite well despite the lack of Jimmy Butler, their playoff
hero from last season who is currently out because of COVID-19 protocols.

The Miami-based
club came back from a 14-point-deficit at the start of the fourth quarter and almost
equalised with the Nets, providing stiff competition down the stretch.

Other than Butler,
the Nets missed Avery Bradley and Tyler Herro in the match, due to COVID-19
protocols and neck spasms respectively, with Herro, also having missed the last
four games.

The Nets, in their last match, had lost 125-113 to Cleveland Cavaliers.

In another match,
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry passed NBA Hall of Famer Reggie
Miller to score the second-most three-pointers in the tournament’s history, making
his 2,561st three-pointer against Utah Jazz on Saturday.
