Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford were the men responsible for putting Manchester United ahead in their Premier League derby against Manchester City.

The Cityzens were leading in the second half after a Jack Grealish goal, but United managed to turn things around within a span of 4 minutes.

The first goal by Bruno Fernandes was contentious since Marcus Rashford was standing in the offside position when the pass was made. However, it was later revealed that Rashford did not touch the ball in the first place.

With this win, Man United have climbed to the third spot on the Premier League table, and are currently behind City by a single point (38 to City’s 39). While both Manchester teams have played 18 games each, league toppers Arsenal are at 44 points with a game in hand.

This win is being considered the most significant achievement of Erik Ten Hag in his short stint at Man United till date. The last match United played against Pep Guardiola’s men saw them receive a 6-3 thrashing at the Etihad Stadium.

The match was a pretty evenly contested affair before the two quick goals that helped the Red Devils secure a win. United dominated in the first half but City came back strongly in the next 45 minutes.
