#CAT Exam

  •  A total of 2,27,835 candidates appeared for the CAT exam
  • According to government instructions, IIMs must  reserve 15% seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) 
  • IIMs will short list candidates and send interview letters as the first part of the admission process

  • Students have been asked to wear masks, use santiser and maintain social distancing
  • The duration of the computer-based exam has been increased to 120 minutes
  • The first session will be held at 8:30 am, second at 12:30 pm and the last will begin at 4:30 pm

  • For all MCQs, there would be negative marking for wrong answers
  • Admit card printed on an A4-size paper is valid only if the candidate’s photograph is legibly printed
  • The clock will start as soon as the candidates start answering a section
