Dr Dre, the founding member of hip-hop group NWA, has been ordered to pay wife Nicole Young a sum of $3.5 million per year temporarily as spousal support, according to US media reports.

The two decided to end their 24-year-long marriage in June 2020 by filing for divorce. Young accused Dr Dre, who is also known as Andre Romelle Young, of domestic abuse and that she was forced to give consent to a prenuptial agreement before the couple got married in 1996.

According to The Blast, which cited court documents, Dr Dre has been ordered to pay the sum of $293,306 every month till the two are willing to negotiate the terms of their divorce settlement. The payments will reportedly be due on the first of every month.
