Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India is facing an invisible enemy, and added that the nation is fighting it (COVID-19) war-footing mode, reports PTI. 

Amid the shortage and increased demands of health equipment due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Prime Minister asked states to take action against black-marketing of medicines, essential supplies. 

“COVID-19 is spreading fast in rural India,” PM Modi said, and added, “Villagers must take necessary precautions, including wearing mask.” 

“Amid the difficult challenges of COVID-19, farmers have made records in agriculture and gardening while Govt is also setting new records on procurement on MSP every year. In comparison to last year, 10% more wheat has been purchased on MSP this year,” PM Modi said.
