Independence Center in Missouri was reportedly evacuated on Monday afternoon amid reports of a shooting inside the mall.

Police arrived at the scene at around 3 pm after receiving of shooting inside the mall located at 18801 E. 39th St., FOX 4 reported. All entrances to Independence Center were immediately blocked.

It was, however, unknown if there were any victims at this time. Monday marked Labor Day in the United States.

In 2018, a man died after being shot in the parking lot of the mall. Independence Police spokesman John Syme had said at the time that the man’s body was found outside a vehicle in the parking lot.
