The next film of the James Bond franchise, ‘No Time To Die’ has further delayed its release from November 2020 to April 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus, reported Hollywood Reporter.

The 25th film of the iconic ‘007’ franchise was set to release on November 12 in the UK and November 20 in the US. Now, it will be released worldwide o April 2, next year.

MGM, Eon Productions and Universal were hopeful for a November release, however, the continued restrictions and several cinema closures and re-closures in certain top markets due to the pandemic have forced them to postpone.

Earlier this year, the Cary Joji Fukunaga directed film, had become the first Hollywood film to fall victim to COVID-19 and delay its release from April to November.

The latest delay follows the likes of ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Black Widow’ which have been postponed from their early October and early November release dates.

The film, which will be Daniel Craig’s final appearance also stars Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz. Franchise newcomers Rami Malek, Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch will also be seen on the screen.

Hollywood Reporter quoted a statement that read, “MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience. We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year.”
