A KFC employee in the United States was recognised as a hero after assisting a woman who was being held captive and harassed by her boyfriend after she told him that she wanted the break-up.

The incident occurred in Memphis’ Hickory Hill neighbourhood on May 15th.

At 5 p.m. on Monday, the woman was at the restaurant with her alleged boyfriend, Diego Glay.

According to authorities, the unidentified worker became aware of the woman’s situation after she left a note begging for help at the fast-food restaurant.

According to FOX13, after they left, the unidentified employee discovered the note of aid and immediately called the police to report that a man was holding a woman against her will.

They were quickly apprehended after he provided cops with a detailed description of both the victim and the assailant.

The boyfriend, Diego Glay was apprehended and charged with kidnapping and eluding capture. He allegedly refused to obey police orders and attempted to flee after being apprehended. After being pursued across the steers for the second time, he was apprehended.

Glay, who was armed with a handgun, allegedly assaulted the unnamed woman who left the note.

She went on to say that she had been in a relationship with Glay but was being held against her will and threatened with physical assault.

The Sun quoted the police saying- “They got into an argument, and she attempted to leave him several times and return home, but Glay held her physically against her will with physical assaults, threats, and being armed with a handgun.”

Her first cry for help note was discovered stuck in a Walmart mirror. Following his arrest, the unidentified KFC employee was praised for his actions.

Glay is going to appear in court on June 1. A $35,000 bond has been set for him.
