Politician Navjot Singh Sidhu’s resignation from the post of Punjab Congress chief on Tuesday triggered a wave of reactions and memes on the internet, however, one meme that really made people laugh was actor Archana Puran Singh’s. Actor and comedian Archana Puran Singh, who replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu in Kapil Sharma’s comedy show as the permanent guest, shared a meme featuring herself after Sidhu’s resignation. Here’s the meme and social media are loving it.

Shared on her Instagram account, the meme features Puran Singh, whose face has been photoshopped to a scene from Alia Bhatt’s movie ‘Raazi’ and the comedian is saying “Mujhe Ghar Nai Jaana Hai.” The caption alongside Archana’s post read, “I Meme Myself. Kissa Kursi Ka (laughing emojis).”

The meme suggests that now Sidhu has stepped down from his duties as Congress Punjab chief, he might want to return to Kapil Sharma Show leaving Puran Singh no choice but to leave the show.
Social media users, on the other hand, loved Archana’s humour and healthy spirit and reacted. One of the early reactions came from Puran Singh’s co-star and actor Sumona Chakravarti.
She wrote, “Wtf (laughing emojis) some of them are hilarious,” while Gaurav Gera commented, “Lol ya saw u trending on Twitter.”
Other fans also reacted with one saying, “No 1 can replace u Archana Ji ur best judge, ” and another user commented, “Now we r habitual of watching you on that chair…”
Navjot Singh Sidhu, who used to appear in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ as a permanent guest earlier, was removed from the show after his remarks on Pulwama Attack infuriated people.

After Sidhu’s exit, Archana Puran Singh replaced him on the show.
In a recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana revealed how she received several congratulatory messages when Sidhu became the Punjab Congress chief.
“Mujhe itne phoolon ke bouquets aaye hai, ‘mubarak ho, Archana ma’am’ kyunki woh wahaan par ban gaye (I got so many flower bouquets and congratulatory messages when Sidhu took up the post),” she said on the show.
