Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 71st edition of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’ at 11 am on Sunday. He said that the recently passed farm laws have in a very short time eased the troubles of the farmers, adding that they have opened up new possibilities for them.

He also paid tribute to Sri Aurobindo, saying that one can always take inspiration from his work, adding that the concept of ‘Vocal for Local’ can be seen in his ‘Swadeshi’ philosophy.

He also thanked the Canadian government for facilitating the return of a statue of Goddess Annapurna, which he said was stolen from a temple in Varanasi over a 100 years ago.

The Prime Minister also said that it had almost been a year since the world first got to know about the coronavirus, and that the fight against the pandemic need to continue “firmly”.
