PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has tested positive for COVID-19 just two weeks after taking over the job at Parc des Princes , team officials announced on Friday. 

The Twitter handle for PSG wrote, “Pochettino will respect isolation and is subject to the appropriate health protocols”.

Miguel D’Agostino and Jerus Perez will take over as the interim coaches for the team’s trip to Angers.

PSG team players Thilo Kehrer, Rafinha and Colin Dogba had also tested positive for coronavirus just a week before. 

The 48-year-old coach has been a part of three PSG games till now and also played a vital role in Lens when the team snatched a 2-1 victory from Marseille to secure the Champions Trophy. 

The former Tottenham coach took over the place from Thomas Tuchel and signed a deal till June 30, 2022.

Tuchel was sacked on December 24, reportedly for comments viewed as critical of the Qatari owners despite having led the team to a maiden appearance in the Champions League final last season.

Pochettino also played for PSG from 2001 to 2003.
