Actor Kangana Ranaut once again faced the wrath of protestors and this time it’s
because of her tweets on several heated issues, including the ongoing farmers
protest against the Centre’s new agri laws. Congress workers in
Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district on Saturday went towards Sarni at a film shoot
site to protest against the actor. However, police stopped them and used water
cannons on them, as per officials. Ranaut, who is in the crosshairs of the Congress, has been asked to apologise for her tweets, reported
PTI.

But the protestors failed and faced police action for trying to protest
at the actor’s film shoot site which was a coal handling plant of a power
station.

Senior City Superintendent of Police Abhay Ram Choudhary had
denied any kind of use of severe force, even after the video clips showing
police caning the Congress workers went viral all over the social media, reported PTI.

Following the incident, MP home minister Narottam Mishra, has asked
police on Thursday to provide security at the shoot site after which a group of
constables have been deployed and some even with firearms, as per an official.

The film shooting schedule in the area is set to end on February 17, the
official added.
