Last December, Naaz Patel, belonging to Avesta Foundation, filed a complaint with the Mumbai Cyber Police, demanding that Myntra, an Indian fashion e-commerce giant, should change its logo, alleging that it is offensive to women. Patel had been taking up this conversation for a while now on various social media platforms.

The complaint was taken up by the Cyber Crime Department of the Mumbai Police. They sent an email to Myntra addressing the issue. The Myntra officials met the police and informed them that they would change the logo in a month.

Post the complaint, the online shopping portal has decided to change its logo. The change will not only be implemented virtually but also on their printed packages. The e-commerce platform has already given orders for packaging materials with the new logo.

The recent turn of events sparked many conversations on social media, with many people disagreeing with the ordeal. They think that the matter has been exaggerated and that, there was no need for a new logo. Many people cannot even seem to understand what was wrong with the logo. Some were even disappointed at how Myntra agreed to change its logo.
