Actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have welcomed twin boys and shared the news with the world on Instagram. Announcing the twins’ arrival on Sunday evening, the couple posted cute pictures showing them kissing their twins’ feet.
The 37-year-old Indian film director captioned the pictures as “Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with Twin Baby Boys. All our prayers, our ancestors’ blessings combined with all the good manifestations made, have come 2gether in the form of 2 blessed babies for us…”
Every sentence in the caption was adorned with red heart emoticons and smilies, showing the new father’s excitement.

The couple have named their newly born twins Uyir and Ulagam. On Instagram, Shivan has shared another picture in black and white where his wife, Nayanthara is smiling holding the small feet of her children in her bare hands.
Nayanthara and Vignesh, both fell in love when they were also busy shooting for the film Naanum Rowdy Dhan. After a few years, they revealed their secret engagement in 2021, on Vijay Television where she went for her film’s promotion.

The couple dated each other for quite a long time before tying the knot on June 9, this year. Their marriage ceremony took place in a resort located in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. They welcomed infamous celebrities on their big day, including Shah Rukh Khan, Suriya, AR Rahman, and Rajnikanth.

In her career, Nayanthara is all set with her upcoming films like Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Her upcoming projects also include Gold, Connect, Iraivan, and Lady Superstar 75. Vignesh Shivan is also ready with his other film, Ajith starter AK62, which is to be released in 2023.
