Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata has invested in Pritish Nandy Communications,
acquiring a stake in the company, the latter organisation informed exchanges on
Monday. It further added that the industrialist is known to invest in start-ups
and technology companies, as per a report by Moneycontrol.

Tata, who continues to head the company’s charitable trusts after his previous
stints as the Chairman (1990-2012), and interim Chairman (2016-2017) of Tata Group,
reportedly acquired the stakes in his ‘own personal capacity’.

“Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and Chairman of Tata
Trusts, has, in his personal capacity, acquired a stake in Pritish Nandy
Communications through market purchases last week”, Moneycontrol quoted Pritish
Nandy Communications (PNC) as saying in its filing.

PNC was founded on September, 1993, beginning as a media and entertainment
company, making many news and entertainment-based shows over the years.

It went public in 2000, getting listed in both National Stock Exchange
(NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) shortly afterwards. Morgan Stanley led
the public offering of PNC.

“Global funds like Soros, Oppenheimer, Alliance and Lloyd George hold
PNC stock”, the communications company states it its website, noting further that
it has consistently grown over a span of 18 years and won awards, launching “some
of the biggest names in the creativity business” at the same time.

It further says that the company is currently valued at a price of Rs
2653 million.
