Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden on Monday took to Twitter to express a message of unity and hope ahead of the upcoming US Presidential Elections, saying that while he was running as a proud Democratic party candidate, he would govern as an American president.

The 77-year-old stated that he would work with Democrats and Republicans alike and added that he would work for supporters and detractors alike.

The former vice president said, “I’m running as a proud Democrat, but I will govern as an American president. I will work with Democrats and Republicans, and I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as for those who do.Because that’s the job of a president.”

The Democratic candidate attacked the incumbent Donald Trump one more time ahead of election day and said that 230,000 plus Americans had died due to COVID-19 under the President’s watch. He added that 30 million Americans had lost hours, paychecks and jobs under the current President’s rule,while five small businesses have been closed.

Joe Biden added that as a President he would rebuild the country’s infrastructure, combat climate change and create millions of good-paying, union jobs.

He renewed his attack on the Republican candidate saying that four more years of Donald Trump in the White House would be disastrous for the entire planet.

He repeatedly attacked Trump Donald Trump saying, “Everybody knows who Donald Trump is. Let’s show them who we are.

The former President reiterated his campaign’s message for American’s saying “We choose hope over fear. Unity over division. Science over fiction. And truth over lies.”

He also added that he was for LGBTQ+ rights and for the Dreamers.
