She was beaten by Australian star Ajla Tomljanovic 7-5, 6(4)-7(7), 6-1 at the Flushing Meadows, which resulted in her knockout from the Grand Slam event. This could also be her final match at the US Open in her career, after being knocked out of the women’s doubles on Thursday.

Relationships
Serena was born to Richard Williams and Oracene Price. Her father, Richard, later acted as a coach to Serena and her sister Venus. Both of her parents, Richard and Oracene are regarded as some of the best tennis coaches of their generation.
