The Guccis have arrived in style with the first trailer of
their upcoming ‘House of Gucci’ released on Thursday. It offers a
glimpse of Adam Driver and Lady Gaga in action as Maurizio Gucci and Italian
socialite Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” . The
film will release in theatres on November 24.

The trailer offers all the glitz and glamour you’d expect
from the Italian fashion house in the ’90s, complete with the couple’s lavish
wedding, opulent lifestyle and murder.

The true-crime drama centers on the
murder of fashion trailblazer Maurizio Gucci ( played by Driver), orchestrated
by his wife at the time, Patrizia Reggiani ( played by Gaga).

Reggiani served 16 years in prison for orchestrating the
murder

“It was a name that sounded so sweet, so seductive,
synonymous with worth, style, power, but that name was a curse, too,” Gaga’s
Reggiani says in a voiceover opening the trailer that gives a glimpse into the
lives of the Italian fashion family., reports usatoday.com.

“I don’t consider myself to be a particularly ethical
person,” Gaga adds to the tune of “Heart Of Glass” by Blondie.
“But I am fair.”

“You picked a real firecracker,” teases Jared Leto, who
looks unrecognizable as a husky Paolo Gucci.

 “House of Gucci” also
includes Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Camille Cottin, Jack Huston, Reeve Carney and
Salma Hayek.

In April, Patrizia Gucci, one of Maurizio’s second cousins,
voiced concern that the film goes beyond the headline-grabbing true-crime story
and pries into the private lives of the Guccio Gucci heirs.

“We are truly disappointed. I speak on behalf of the
family,” Patrizia Gucci told the Associated Press. “They are stealing the
identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood
system….Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything.
But there is a borderline that cannot be crossed.”.
