Tanner Houk was hit on his face and had to be taken off-field during the New York Yankees vs Boston Red Sox game on Friday. The two sides locked horns at Fenway Park.

Several social media users wished him good.

“Anytime the Red Sox get any momentum lately, something horrific happens. Just hoping for Tanner Houck to be okay. He’s worked so hard to finally earn a spot in the rotation. Absolutely sucks,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Really hope Houck is okay. They haven’t shown any replays. Hard to tell where the line drive hit him. How quickly he got back up was good to see at least,” another one added.

“Tanner Houck took a line drive off the face and immediately went down to his knees on the ground. He’s walking under his own power, but with a towel over his face as he heads straight to the clubhouse. Just a horrific sight,” a third one tweeted.

The Boston Red Sox selected Houck with the 24th overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft.
