During a recent White House press conference, National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby evaded questions regarding President Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s communications with foreign business partners.
When a reporter read out a purported WhatsApp message linking the president to his son’s foreign dealings, Kirby dismissed further discussion on the matter.
Interrupting the reporter’s attempts to press for answers, Kirby firmly stated his refusal to address the issue from the podium. After expressing that he was aware of the reporter’s desire for more information, Kirby left the podium, concluding the press conference.
The controversy surrounding Hunter Biden’s alleged use of his father’s influence to pressure a Chinese business partner has further deepened. An IRS whistleblower testified before Congress, providing evidence of a WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden claimed to be with his father during business dealings and used his name to exert pressure on a commitment.
These claims, if substantiated, directly contradict President Biden’s repeated assertions of having no knowledge of his son’s business affairs. While a statement from Hunter Biden’s attorney asserts that any actions were the result of his client’s personal struggles, the message raises questions about the extent of the president’s involvement.
The White House has maintained that the president was not engaged in business with his son and emphasized the independence of the Justice Department in its criminal investigations.
