Kanye West is being sued by photographer Nichol Lechmanik after the rapper allegedly snatched the latter’s phone out of her hand and threw it on the street.

The incident happened back in January when West was driving away from a basketball game where his daughter, North West was playing. He attended the event with his current wife Bianca Censori, and while leaving he noticed several paparazzi on his tail.

Who is Nichol Lechmanik?

Nichol Lechmanik, a 45-year-old photographer, witnessed the rapper angrily confronting a different paparazzo, going through the man’s pockets. Fearing that Kanye might have a weapon on him, and would come after her next, she sat in the driver’s seat of her vehicle and started recording him with her phone.

At some point, she yelled, “You all ain’t gonna run up on me like that!” Ye responded, “If I say stop, stop with your cameras.” He ended up coming up to her car, ripping the phone from her hands, and throwing it into incoming traffic.

Lechmanik’s business partner who was recording from her passenger seat caught the entire incident on her phone. Ye also reportedly walked over to the passenger side of the car and flashed a “death stare” at both of them. Lechmanik filed a police report about the incident.
