Two Blackhawk helicopters crashed near a Utah ski resort during a Utah National Guard training exercise on Tuesday morning. 

National Guard said in a post on Twitter that the accident took place near Snowbird ski resort in Mineral Basin. Both UH-60 helicopters were damaged, however, no crew members were hurt.

“We can confirm that two Utah National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters were involved in a training accident at approx. 9:30 a.m. near Mineral Basin. No crew members were injured in the accident. Both UH-60s were damaged. The incident is under investigation,” Utah National Guard said in a Twitter post.

Shortly after the crash, the resort tweeted that the area on the back side of the mountain was closed to skiers. A lift and a tram were also closed.
